At the end of the first day of fresh negotiations between Iran and the six major world powers (P5+1) in Moscow, Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Baqeri urges both sides to take five steps to push talks forward.

Iran and the P5+1 - Russia, China, France, Britain, the US and Germany -- launched the third round of their new series of talks in the Russian capital of Moscow on Monday.

The Iranian delegation is led by the SNSC Secretary Saeed Jalili, and the P5+1 is headed by the EU foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton.

A spokesman for European Union’s chief negotiator, Catherine Ashton, says multifaceted talks between Iran and the world powers in Moscow are progressing in a calm and positive atmosphere.

Michael Mann noted that today’s talks between Iran and the P5+1 -- the US, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany -- are progressing in a calm and positive atmosphere and there is easy interaction between the two sides, IRNA reported on Monday

He added that the negotiating parties will follow up on the preliminary discussions later on Monday afternoon.

Mann further stated that the two sides will hold general sessions on Monday as Tuesday has been scheduled for bilateral meetings.
