Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili says the greatest challenge for US officials is to develop a plan for the survival of the Zionist regime of Israel.

ddressing the 12th meeting of Iran’s Assembly of Experts on Tuesday, Jalili noted that the United States is planning to reinforce the Zionist regime for confrontation with the Islamic Republic.

Referring to the hostile stance of the United States towards Iran over the past thirty years, Jalili stated that Iran's active and potential capacities and its political, economic and scientific advantages in the region and the world have caused US to make a passive move by exerting all-out pressures on Iran.

The Iranian official noted that although US officials do not spare any effort to pose threats and exert pressures against Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to turn its discourse, which is opposed to that of the US and the Zionist regime, into the dominant discourse of the regional nations.

Jalili referred to the Zionist regime’s defeats in the 22-Day and 33-Day wars in Gaza and Lebanon, saying that hopes for the continuation of the survival of the Zionist regime are declining.
