Iranian playwright and theater director Homayoun Ghanizadeh is slated to stage his latest play at Delhi International Arts Festival in India.

Ghanizadeh will present his work The King Dies, which is inspired by the Irish avant-garde playwright Samuel Beckett’s drama at the festival on November 7, 2012, Mehr News Agency reports.

Ghanizadeh's style is characterized by strong conception and poetic figures. In his works the story is narrated visually rather than verbally.

He has remarkable works in his resume, most of which have been created based on the ‘theatre of the Absurd.’

Waiting for Godot, Daedalos and Ikaros, Agamemnon, Caligula and Antigone are his better-known stage creations.

The 2012 Delhi International Arts Festival kicked off on October 28 and will run until November 10.
