Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived in Geneva on Sunday to take part in a conference on Burundi development scheduled for October 29-30.

Leading a delegation, Abdollahian will represent Iran in the international conference which will be attended by representatives of over 100 countries as well as regional and international organizations.

The Iranian foreign ministry official will deliver a speech and hold talks with officials of other countries on the sidelines of the conference.

The government of Burundi which has organized the conference will present its second Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (CSLP II) as the way forward for the country's development.

Promoting the country's infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, industry and tourism will be explored in the conference.

The Burundian government will also raise fund for implementation of the CSLP II.

A number of officials from the UN, EU, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and African Development Bank will join the conference.
