UN secretary general invited to visit Iran

The chairperson of the Majlis Human Rights Committee announced that during a recent meeting between an Iranian parliamentary delegation with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, he has promised to travel to Iran in 2012.

MP Zohre Elahian also said that Iranian delegates gave a report about the activities of non-governmental organizations in Iran to the world’s top diplomat and said Iran is ready to provide the UN with regular reports.
