Pirouz Mojtahedzadeh, a senior Iranian expert of international relations, believed that the Israeli regime wanted to bring the Islamic Republic of Iran into the current crisis in Gaza, as Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu has failed to force the US President Barack Obama to adopt war policies against Iran, Khabar Online reports.
During the US presidential election, Netanyahu was very much hopeful that the White House race could force Obama to adopt military actions or even make military threats against Iran. However, his hopes were dashed by Obama, and even the European countries, except France, did not support his policy, the senior analyst said.
Therefore, the Tel Aviv regime launched a new round of attacks on Palestinians in the coastal territory to destroy the favorable atmosphere formed between Iran and the West, and it only hopes that Iran gets into this issue, Mojtahedzadeh added.
Responding to the question how Tel Aviv could get Iran to this issue, Mojtahedzadeh said, "Israeli officials have claimed that Hamas uses Iran-made rockets. But this is not very important. The significant point is that our politicians should be vigilant and adopt an accurate stance regarding the issue in order to prevent Israel from ruining the current favorable atmosphere."
The analyst also pointed to the resumption of talks between Iran and P5+1, saying "The main objective of the Israeli regime is to disrupt the process of the nuclear talks. It is very natural that the Israelis are looking for opportunities to accuse Iran of supporting Hamas and spark protests against Iran. The move could affect the talks and could even stop it."

The main purpose of Israel in launching fresh attacks against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip is to undermine possible negotiations between the United States and Iran, halt the November 29th talks and developments in Syria, a political analyst says.
