A Chinese delegation on Wednesday departed for Austria to attend the sixth round of nuclear talks between Iran and the six world powers which started today in Vienna, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei.

Speaking to reporters, Hong said that Wang Qun, director general of the Department of Arms Control of Chinaˈs Ministry of Foreign Affairs leads the countryˈs delegation to Vienna talks.

China will work with all other parties involved to find a solution to the dispute over Tehranˈs nuclear program, Hong said.

The spokesman said the talks which are aimed at agreeing on a final deal between the two sides are set to continue until July 15.

Hong Lei said China will try to find a complete and fair solution to Iranˈs nuclear dispute with the West during the talks.

He urged both sides to act based on mutual respect and trust and to show flexibility in order to be able to resolve the differences.

The Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for Vienna earlier in the day.

In their last round of talks, which also took place in Vienna from June 16-20, Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China – plus Germany started drafting the wording of a final deal which they called ˈthe Comprehensive Joint Plan of Actionˈ.

This round of talks is expected to be the toughest, most technical and complicated one ever held between the two sides, as it will be also the lengthiest round of negotiations compared to the previous rounds.

Iran and the six world powers set July 20 as the target date for reaching a comprehensive deal in an interim deal struck last November.
