Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Thursday underlined the need for the US side to stop excessive demands in the course of talks over reviving a 2015 Iran nuclear deal – known as JCPOA – and lifting unilateral sanctions on Tehran.

Speaking at a phone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Amirabdollahian noted that a realistic approach is required for finding a solution to the differences and reaching a deal.

During the phone conversation, Amirabdollahian and the Qatari foreign minister whose country hosted a recent round of talks between Iran and the world powers discussed the latest developments of the JCPOA talks.

The Qatari side hailed Iran’s rational stance in dealing with the case.
