Iranian and Algerian foreign ministers in a telephone conversation on Thursday night emphasized the need to continue close cooperation between the two countries at regional and international levels.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a phone call with the new Algerian foreign minister, Ahmed Attaf, congratulated him on his new post and wished success for him.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations, especially in economic and trade areas, as well as regional and international developments, including the Palestinian cause.

Amirabdollahian invited his Algerian counterpart to pay an official visit to Iran which was welcomed by Attaf.

Attaf voiced his country's readiness to broaden bilateral relations with Iran in different spheres.
