Iran and Belarus signed a roadmap for comprehensive cooperation and 7 MoUs in various fields of trade, transportation, agriculture, and culture in the presence of President Raisi and Lukashenko.
The two countries signed the cooperation documents of the two states in various commercial, transportation, agricultural, cultural, and artistic fields, the transfer of convicts, and the executive programme document on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries.
The documents were signed by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Mine & Trade, Agriculture, Roads and Urban Development and Justice with their Belarusian counterparts.
Earlier on Monday, President Raisi officially welcomed his Belarusian counterpart in Tehran, Iran.
After a meeting with visiting Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, President Raisi said that Tehran is ready to share its experiences on sanctions with Belarus, a country that is also subject to sanctions by the United States and allies in the West.
He said both nations are determined to expand relations in all fields of interest although he insisted that the current state of trade and economic exchanges between the two countries is not comparable to the past.
Raisi said Iran and Belarus had inked a series of good agreements on industrial, mining, trade, agricultural, and transportation cooperation as he expressed hope that the documents will help boost bilateral ties.
