The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Tuesday that a Syrian delegation headed by Ayman Susan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, attends the four-partite meeting, which will focus on the necessity of ending Turkiye’s illegal presence in Syria, the need for stopping intervention in internal affairs of the Arab country as well as the fight against all sorts of terrorism.
The Syrian delegation arrived in Moscow on Monday and held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov and Iranian Foreign Minister's Senior Advisor for Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji.
Khaji also met with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Burak Akçapar, when the Iranian diplomat underlined the need for choosing the path of political dialogues to resolve the remaining issues between Ankara and Damascus, and expressed Tehran’s readiness to play an effective role in normalization of relations between the two neighboring states.
The Turkish official, for his part, emphasized the importance of the Astana format concerning Syria’s developments, calling for enhancement of coordination between Tehran and Ankara in this respect.
