President Raisi inaugurates Iran-Pakistan electricity transmission line

President Ebrahim Raisi has inaugurated an electricity transmission line in southeastern Iran between Iran’s Polan and Pakistan’s Jiwani.

The inauguration ceremony was held in the southeast of Iran on Thursday with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in attendance.

The worth of the 132-KV transmission line is 2,250 billion rials, according to the head of the Sistan-Baluchestan electric company.

Mehdi Piri said the joint electricity transmission line will help import and export of electricity in due time.

President Raisi arrived at Konarak Airport in the country's southeast on Thursday to follow up implementation of development projects, inaugurate new plans and meet with Pakistani premier.
