Iran VP attends Turkiye’s Erdogan inauguration

Iran’s First Vice-president Mohammad Mokhber on Saturday took part in the inauguration ceremony of Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Mokhber, along with dozens of foreign dignitaries, attended the ceremony at the presidential palace in Ankara that followed Erdogan’s taking oath of office at the Turkish parliament earlier in the day.

Mokhber represented President Ebrahim Raisi in the ceremony.

Erdogan was re-elected president in May 28th presidential run-off election by defeating opposition candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

He won over 52% of the vote, securing another five years in office and extending his twenty-year rule.
