'Zionists failed to sow discord among Resistance groups'

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that in the recent battle of Gaza the Zionist enemy sought to sow discord among Resistance groups but failed to do so.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting in Tehran on Wednesday with Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas Ismail Haniyeh.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that the sense of duty of the new generation of the Palestinian youth and their involvement in the battle against the Zionist regime is of special importance.

The Supreme Leader added that the recent developments in Jenin and the siege imposed by the Palestinian youth on the Zionist forces are indicative that there would be full victory for the Palestinians.

The more progress is made in the Palestinian case, the more the issues of the Islamic Ummah will make progress, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Pointing to the Gaza Strip as the center of Resistance, the Supreme Leader, however, noted that the point that will bring the enemy to its knees is the West Bank region, where good progress has been made so far.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that no one would have thought that one day the Palestinian youths in Jenin would make the fight so tight against the Zionist forces that they would be forced to use fighter jets to escape from the siege imposed by Palestinians as he made the reference to what happened a few days ago in Jenin.

In the meantime, Hamas leader Haniyeh appreciated Iran’s permanent support for the Palestinian cause and briefed the Supreme Leader on the latest developments going on in the occupied lands, and in the occupied West Bank in particular.

Haniyeh said that despite the dangerous decisions being adopted by the Zionist enemy, the young people fighting the regime in the occupied West Bank have the upper hand.

He said the current situation in the occupied territories means that the regime has only two scenarios in front of it, namely the bad scenario and the worse scenario.
