Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with a group of seminary students and clerics at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran on Wednesday morning.
The Supreme Leader said that there is a confrontation between the Islamic system and the global front of deceit which he said is disguising itself as a liberal democracy.
He further said that the propagation of ideas by the younger generation, especially by clerics and seminary students, should not just be limited to responding to ambiguities.
Ayatollah Khamenei argued that one must attack the intellectual foundations of adversaries rather than passively defending its own positions.
“In propagation, it is necessary to be on the offensive. It is necessary to know the scene, meaning, you must know who you are dealing with when you are faced with a lot of ambiguities in the minds of young people,” he added.
The Supreme Leader also argued that when ambiguities are raised on the media or social networks, there is a great possibility that the person raising those ambiguities are not the mastermind of the act.
“There is a strong possibility that there is something behind the scene,” he said.
