The public opinion of the Islamic world is waiting for the practical action of the Danish government on the issue, Kanaani said on Saturday.
He reiterated that there is a need for unity of the Islamic countries and nations and all the followers of heavenly religions to effectively deal with any cases of insulting the Holy Quran and the sanctities of Abrahamic religions anywhere in the world.
Despite the ominous intentions of those who insult the sanctities and values of more than two billion Muslims in the world, we believe that the libertarians of the world will stand united against this evil sedition and will disgrace the real violators of human rights, Kanaani said.
He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to communicate with Islamic countries on the issue and will keep up efforts to stand against the modern-era ignorance which has targeted human dignity and authentic freedom of expression under the pretext of protecting "the fake Western freedom of speech".
