National Export Day in Iran

Iran commemorates October 22 as National Export Day in a bid to honor domestic top exporters and examine avenues of further bolstering exports, particularly in the non-oil sector.

Every year, the process of registration and evaluation of the top exporters is started a few months before the Day.

One part of this evaluation includes self-declaration and another part includes the statistics regarding the companies' export performance.

Hundreds of export companies from different product and service groups are assessed to select distinguished exporters, and the finalists are announced at the National Export Day ceremony.

At the ceremony, some exemplary exporters are rewarded with Export Honorary Medals, and some exporters are recognized as “excellent”, “national” and “good”.

Promoting the culture of export among the varied strata of people, and honoring local businessmen are among the objectives pursued on this occasion.

The Day is regarded as an opportunity to exchange ideas, identify obstacles on the path of export, and examine solutions in this regard.
