The invitation was extended by Alexander Venediktov, the deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, during a meeting with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani in Moscow on Friday.

The meeting, which was also attended by Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, included discussions on shared priorities and areas of cooperation between Iran and Russia.

The developments in Palestine were also a matter of concern during the meeting.

The Russian security official emphasized that the United States seeks to stoke tensions in the region, adding that the survival of the US government is based on exploiting these crises.
