The United Arab Emirates has mounted a group exhibition of works by Iranian artists at Dubai’s Arsh Art Gallery of the Emirates Lake Tower.

The event displays works by Tara Behbahani, Taha Behbahani, Behnaz Sarhangi, Parvin Soheili , Saba Orouji and Mona Orouji, Mehr News Agency reported.

The sculptures and paintings of Taha Behbahani and his daughter Tara were widely acclaimed by visitors.

A bronze statue from Taha Behbahani’s Bids collection and abstract paintings by Tara are among the highlights of the exhibition.

Taha Behbahani is a successful painter, sculptor, set designer, television and theatre director and university professor who studied art at Iran, Paris and Salzburg universities.

He has been a member of the executive board of Iran’s National Creative Arts Committee, affiliated with UNESCO and a jury member in a number of international exhibitions.

Behbahani has participated in more than 55 solo and group exhibitions in Iran and other countries, including art shows in Paris, Venezuela, the US and China.

Three documentaries have been produced about his life and art works in English, French, and German languages.

A number of Behbahani’s works are privately collected in Iran, France, Germany, England, Japan, Austria, Dubai, the Netherlands, England, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, and the US.

Behbahani’s daughter Tara was born in 1983 in Tehran and got her degrees in Mathematics and Art Research.

She is a member of the Society of Iranian Painters and has displayed her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions so far.
