“Today we have achieved self-sufficiency in producing military equipment and defense systems,” Deputy Commander of Chiefs of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces told reporters on Thursday.
Hejazi added that Iranian experts have turned the country into a major producer of military equipment which can both meet national needs and be exported to other countries.
Asked about the recent threats posed against the Islamic Republic, Hejazi noted that the country has always been under threats and sanctions over the past thirty years, but the Iranian nation, Armed Forces, and Basij are now fulfilling their duties more determined than before.
In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.
In early July, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) test-fired a number of indigenous missiles during a three-day military drill codenamed the Great Prophet 7.
