Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has conveyed the country’s readiness to cooperate in the process of his ailing Iraqi counterpart, Jalal al-Talabani’s treatment.

On Tuesday, Ahmadinejad was informed about the latest physical and health condition of Talabani during a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, reported the Iranian president’s official website, president.ir.

He wished his Iraqi counterpart prompt recovery and referring to the valuable experience and specialization of Iranian physicians, expressed the Islamic Republic’s readiness to provide every cooperation in Talabani’s treatment.

The 79-year-old Iraqi president, who has been suffering various health problems in recent years, has been admitted to the hospital in Baghdad with critical condition.
