An official in the Southwestern province of Khuzestan said the province's companies are fully ready to expand their cooperation with Pakistan.

Deputy Head of Ahwaz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Adnan Moussapour pointed to the recent visit of Pakistani commercial delegations to the province and said, “Our colleagues are highly interested in expansion of commercial relations between Khuzestan province and Pakistan,”

He said that Khuzestan province is ready to export tar, raw skin, carpet and dates to Pakistan.

The two sides also discussed exports and imports of iron scrap, aluminum, rods, cement, fruits, vegetables, rice, potatoes, sugar, wheat, cumin, electromotor, wind power plants’ equipment, livestock products and oil derivatives and gas to or from Khuzestan province and Pakistan, the official pointed out.

Iran and Pakistan exchange delegations on a regular basis and the two neighboring countries are keen to expedite expansion of their bilateral trade ties.
