According to the November report of the association, Iran produced 14.071mln tons of steel from January to November, showing a six-percent rise compared with the same period in 2012, press tv reported.

The rise in production comes despite the West’s sanctions against Iran over its nuclear energy program and the subsequent restrictions in the sale of industrial equipment and raw materials to Iran.
The report said, global crude steel output for the 65 countries reporting to the association stood at 127mln tons in November 2013, up 3.6 percent year on year.
The report also indicated that from January to November 2013, the overall steel production of the 65 countries rose to 1.446bln tons, registering a four-percent growth from last year.
