Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham voiced Tehran's deep concern over the ongoing circumstances in Gaza whose people are not only under siege, but also are the target of state terrorism by the Zionist regime of Israel.

“Undoubtedly, this move (the Tuesday Israeli airstrike on the besieged Gaza Strip) is out of desperation and fear from the emergence of the third intifada of the oppressed Palestinians throughout the occupied territories, especially the Islamic resistance in the West Bank,” Afkham said on Tuesday.

She also stated that Iran holds the Israeli regime fully responsible for the consequences of Zionists’ escalation of state terrorism, and calls on all international institutions, specially the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to condemn Israeli atrocities, honor their responsibilities and stop Israelis from perpetrating crimes against the oppressed and besieged Gazans.

On Tuesday, Israeli air forces bombed the Gaza Strip and killed a 4-year-old Palestinian child.

Israeli forces launched an airstrike in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, killing a 4-year-old girl.

Israeli forces also launched an airstrike on Khan Yunis South of the Gaza Strip, firing three missiles at an alleged "Hamas site." It was unclear if there were any casualties in that strike.
