His movies “Dancing in Dust”, “Beautiful City”, “Fireworks Wednesday”, “About Elly” and “A Separation” will go on screen during the event.
Farhadi’s “A Separation” won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a French César for best foreign language film in 2012 as well as Berlin’s Golden Bear in 2011.
The festival will also review works the Chinese director Jiang Wen and the French actress Isabelle Huppert.
The Iranian director Parviz Shahbazi’s “Trapped” will go on screen during the event, which will be held from March 24 to April 7.
“Trapped” spins a tension-filled drama about a naive but highly principled young woman from the provinces who comes to Tehran to study medicine.
