Iran's national volleyball team will play with the 2013 world champion, Russia, in their first match of the final round of the World League on 16 July in Italy.

 
 

The final round of the FIVB Men's Volleyball World League will be held from July 16 to 20 in Florence, Italy, and Iran's national volleyball team will play with Russia and again Brazil.

The FIVB Volleyball World League Group 1 Finals will be played in Florence, Italy from July 16 to 20. The participants will be Italy (hosts), Iran (Pool A second), Brazil (Pool A third), USA (Pool B winners), Russia (Pool B second) and the winners of the FIVB Volleyball World League Group 2 Finals.

FIVB Volleyball World League Group 2 Finals will be played in Sydney, Australia from July 12 to 13. The participants will be Australia (hosts), Belgium (Pool C winners), France (Pool D winners), the Netherlands (Pool E winners). The winners will advance to the FIVB Volleyball World League Group 1 Finals.

At the end of this round, winners of each group will play with the second team of other group (19 July), and the winners of these matches will fight for the title of volleyball world league champion(20 July).

The national Iranian volleyball team played 12 games in the preliminary round of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) 2014 World League, winning six games and losing as many.

The Iranian volleyball athletes in the national team began their performance in FIVB 2014 World League on May 30 with a game versus Italy in that countryˈs Christie City, and played their last preliminary round game on July 5, in Polandˈs Gdansk City, gaining 19 points all together in this round of the league.

Brazil (9), Italy (8), Russia (3), Cuba, the Netherlands, Poland and USA (all 1) are the seven countries who have won the World League during its previous 24 editions. Serbia and France join as the only countries to have medalled in the past.
