Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said Egypt is expected to fulfill its duty in defending the oppressed people of Palestine and adopt effective measures to defend them.

Speaking to IRNA on Friday afternoon, Amir Abdollahian pointed to the atrocities of the criminal Zionist regime against oppressed people of Gaza Strip and Western Bank of the Jordan River.

He said Egypt is now standing in a decisive moment and we expect officials of this country to send medicines and foodstuff to Gaza and admit the injured from there.

Amir Abdollahian is now on a regional tour to countries such as Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman to discuss Iraq and Palestine.

During the past days, the Zionist regime has launched a criminal aggression against civilians in Gaza in which so far around 100 innocent people have been martyred and many more have been injured.
