Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and North African Affairs said that current events in Palestine is suspicious and a pretext by the Zionist forces to oppress defenseless people of Gaza.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, Hossein Amir – Abdollahian, in a meeting with Chinaˈs special envoy in the Middle East Affairs, who is in Tehran on his tour to the countries of the region, exchanged views on regional issues, especially current developments in Iraq.

Explaining Iranˈs principled policies on developments in the region, Amir-Abdollahian called Iraqˈs crisis a result of a conspiracy and continued that all countries should be committed to their obligations to fight against terrorism and support Iraqi government and nation.

Amir-Abdollahian underlined necessity of Iraqi government simultaneous confrontation with Daesh-Baathi terrorists and completion of political process and election of Iraqˈs president, prime minister and parliament speaker.

He also evaluated joint stances of Tehran, Moscow and Beijing on Syrian crisis correct and underlined continuation of principled stances on Iraq.

Chinaˈs Special Envoy for the Middle East Affairs Wu Sike, for his part, presented a report on his recent visits to the countries of the region and described developments in the region deep, sensitive and dangerous for world peace and security.

Expressing regret over massacre of the Palestinian people as well as Daesh terrorist attacks in Iraq, Sike considered recent crisis in Iraq a result of the US and its allies attacks to Iraq in year 2003, adding that recent three-year crisis in Syria was also effective in forming the crisis in Iraq.

Sike underlined his countryˈs support for Iraqi government in fight against terrorism and expressed hope that political parties and different fractions in Iraq can complete promptly existing political trend in the country.

Chinaˈs special envoy described his countryˈs stances in many regional issues such as Palestine, Syria and Iraq common with Iranˈs view points and said that China opposed with imposing any settlement from outside of Iraq for the country.

He also underlined necessity of continuation of consultation between the two countries on regional and international issues, adding that the two countries should continue their strategic cooperation on these issues.

In the meeting, the two sides described recent terrorist moves in Iraq dangerous for the region and the world and underlined necessity of cooperation in international community to confront the ominous phenomenon of terrorism.

The two sides also underlined maintaining territorial integrity and sovereignty of Iraq, political unity, respecting Constitution, opposing with disintegration of the country, opposing with foreign interference, fight against terrorism, helping Iraqi government in fight against Daesh-Baathi terrorists and commitment to the results of the election in Iraq.
