Speaking on the sidelines of the 10th International Energy Forum here on Tuesday, Hamid Chitchian also called on people to optimize water and electricity consumption in order to save the resources, Shana reported.
Responding to Shana reporter question, the Minister of Energy said: there is good cooperation between Ministry of Energy and Petroleum Ministry on meeting power plants’ need to fuel so that it could be said there is no problem in this regard.
In the summer we have been able to store enough liquid fuel for power plants, Chitchian said.
In addition to liquid fuel, power plants take190 million cubic meters of natural gas each day on average due to satisfactory cooperation between the two ministries, managing director of Tavanir, a subsidiary of Ministry of Energy, told Shana.
