Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi voiced his satisfaction in holding talks with Russian and US nuclear energy officials as well as director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano.

 “My meetings with ssia's Rosatom nuclear agency CEO Sergei Kirienko, US Energy Minister Ernest Moniz and IAEA Chief (Yukiya Amano) were positive and constructive,” Salehi said.

He pointed to his meeting with Rosatom chief, and said, “Our relations with Russia is a strategic one, specially in relation to nuclear cooperation, we have the highest volume of talks.”

“Russia constructed Bushehr nuclear power plant under the most difficult conditions and now this power plant is being administered by Iranians,” Salehi added.

Salehi said that Kirienko announced on Monday that Iran has delivered 38 metric tonnes of heavy water, a material used in nuclear reactors, to Russia this month.
