66% rise in commodity exports to Iraq in 8 months

The value of exports to Iraq in the first eight months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) was $6.757 billion, a growth of 66.59 % in weight and 66.14 % in value over the same period last year.

The volume of non - petroleum exports in Iran hit 75 million and 270,000 tons in the first eight months of this year, a figure worth $31.491 billion.

Iraq has always been Iran's second export market in the past recent years, and after its occupation by the United States, many of its needs from foodstuff and machinery to electricity and natural gas depend on Iran.

The country ranked first among Iranian export destinations in the last two months.
