Grossi who arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran on late Friday met with Mohammad Eslami on Saturday morning.
He is also set to hold a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian after his meeting with Eslami.
The visit comes as the eighth round of talks in Vienna between Iran and the P5+1 is underway.
