Iran's 13th gov't stress Tehran-Doha’s high level of cooperation

Ever since the 13th government has taken office in Iran, the country has witnessed a high level of economic, along with political, cooperation with Qatar.

Developing relations with neighboring states is one of the goals and plans of the 13th government in Iran.

Accordingly, in the past few days, the 8th Meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar has been held in Doha with the presence of the largest trade delegation, which was also attended by government officials.

During the meeting, officials from Iran and Qatar held talks and agreed on removing barriers, facilitating trade, and developing ties.

One of the two countries' issues discussed and agreed on was developing trade relations up to $2 billion in the first step.

At the 8th Joint Meeting on Economic Cooperation between Iran and Qatar, Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian, Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peymanpak, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari, along with officials from the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran, and the most significant trade delegation, including private businessmen and representatives of 70 companies traveled to Qatar, indicating the Iranian government's full support for cooperation of the private sector's of the two countries.

Qatar is a neighbor of Iran and has good political relations with Tehran.
