Iranian athletes keep grabbing medals at Asian Para Games

Iranian sports delegation continues winning colorful medals at the Fourth Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.

Iran’s Zahra Nemati and Mohammadreza Arab Ameri succeeded in overcoming their Chinese rivals in the final and grasped a gold medal in the Mixed Team Recurve – Open at the 2022 Asian Para Games on Thursday.

With a throw of 6.10 meters and a throw of 5.99 meters, Atena Mohammadiha and Batool Jahangiri respectively won silver and bronze medals in the women’s shot put competitions in the F33 class.

Iranian athlete Hajar Safarzadeh ranked first at 200m in the T12 class of the 2022 Asian Para Games and clinched a gold medal with a record of 25.87 seconds.

Iran’s Hamed Amiri won a gold medal in the Men’s Shot Put F55 class of the 2022 Asian Para Games with a throw of 11.27 meters.

Iranian athlete Mehdi Olad grabbed a gold medal in the Men’s Discus Throw of the 2022 Asian Para Games with a record throw of 42.73 meters.

Iran's compound archer Hadi Nouri won a bronze medal in the Mixed Team Compound of the 2022 Asian Para Games.

Elham Salehi of the Iranian para-athletics team bagged a silver medal in the Women's F54 Final of the 2022 Asian Para Games.

Around 3,100 athletes from 44 countries and regions are competing in 22 sports and 564 events at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games in China from October 22 to 28.
