Iran FM, Hamas chief discuss latest developments in Palestine

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has talked on the phone with head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement Ismail Haniyeh to discuss the latest developments in Palestine.

“In a phone call tonight with Mr. Sheikh Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of Hamas, we exchanged views about the latest developments in Palestine’s Gaza and the West Bank,” Amirabdollahian wrote in a tweet late on Thursday.

The Iranian foreign minister met on Tuesday with Haniyeh for the second time since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s bloody war on Gaza.

Hamas launched Operation al-Aqsa Storm on October 7 in response to intensified crimes by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. In response, the Zionist regime waged an all-out war on Gaza, killing more than 9,000 people and wounding tens of thousands in the tightly-besieged enclave.
