Ali Bagheri Kani, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs who traveled to Beijing met with his Chinese counterpart, Ma Zhaoxu, Executive Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China 0n December 14, 2023.

They discussed different issues including how to develop Iran and China cooperation in various international fields such as human rights and terrorism.

Bagheri Kani and Ma Zhaoxu also discussed the latest developments in negotiations on remobcal of sanctions against Iran and revival of the nuclear deal known as the JCPOA.

Iran, China Deputy Foreign Ministers further talked about the various aspects of the current crisis in Gaza, emphasizing the need to stop the attacks and send humanitarian aid to the defenseless people of Gaza immediately.
