Terrorist attacks to not halt Iran's development

Reacting to the recent terrorist attack in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that such attacks will not affect the country's progress track.

Amir-Abdollahian, in a message on X social network, condoled er the martyrdom of 11 Iranian police officers in a terrorist attack on Thursday night in Rask County in Sistan and Baluchestan province.

He also offered his condolences to the Iranian nation and especially the families of “devoted” police forces who fell victim to the attack, claimed by the Pakistan-based so-called Jaish ul-Adl terror group.

Such terrorist acts by the enemies of the security and progress of Iran cannot stop the rapid development and security of Iran and Sistan and Baluchistan, he stressed.

The attack, which occurred around midnight, was one of the deadliest in years for the region sitting close to Iran's border with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Similar attacks have occurred previously, including on July 23 when four policemen were killed while on patrol.

That came two weeks after two policemen and four assailants were killed in a shootout in the province, claimed by Jaish ul-Adl.
