The military made the announcement on Monday, the 73rd day of the war in the besieged Palestinian territory.

Three soldiers were killed in fighting in southern Gaza. Another succumbed to his wounds sustained last week, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported.

According to the Israeli regime's military, the latest deaths bring the total number of soldiers killed since the war began to 458, including 126 who died in ground battles.

Palestinian resistance fighters have said that the Israeli military death toll is much higher as the regime hides the real number of casualties.

The regime is believed to do so as it is facing public anger over the Gaza war, including its handling of the release of captives taken by Hamas during its Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7.

Last week, Haaretz said that the Israeli military was withholding reports of wounded soldiers and their condition.

According to the newspaper, discrepancies arose after the number of the wounded soldiers announced by the military was significantly lower than the figures reported by hospitals.
