Kerman attacks aimed to instill sense of insecurity in Iran: IRGC

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Kerman, saying the “blind and malicious” act was aimed at instilling a sense of insecurity in Iran.

In a statement on Thursday, the IRGC expressed condolences to the Iranian leadership and nation after at least 84 people were martyred in two explosions targeting a ceremony commemorating the fourth martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s late commander General Qassem Soleimani near his tomb in Kerman.

“The cowardly enemies should be aware that the flame ignited by Martyr Soleimani in the hearts and souls of Iranians and his other admirers…. will not be extinguished and will burn the satanic aspirations of the enemies,” the statement said.

The IRGC stressed that the terrorist incident in Kerman showed that Martyr Soleimani remains more alive and potent for enemies than ever.

The enemies will fail to compensate for the defeats inflicted on them by “the champion of resistance” through acts of terrorism, it added.
