Iran's foreign minister meets Hamas chief during Doha visit

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and held talks with the head of Hamas' political bureau Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar on Tuesday.

Earlier, Amir-Abdollahian held separate meetings with his Qatari counterpart and the Emir of Qatar to discuss the bilateral relations between Tehran and Doha, as well as the Israeli regime's genocidal war against the defenseless Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Qatar is the third and final leg of the top Iranian diplomat’s regional tour that began on Friday and earlier took him to Syria and Lebanon.

Regional developments, including the Gaza war, as well as bilateral relations were on the agenda of Amir-Abdollahian’s negotiations in Syria and Lebanon where he met government officials and Resistance leaders.

On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Minister met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani for talks on the Gaza war.
