Salami says IRGC to mobilize forces to help flood-hit areas

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) insisted on strengthening services to the flood-affected people of Sistan and Baluchistan in southeast Iran.

Major General Hossein Salami made phone calls to local IRGC commanders in Sistan and Baluchistan to order them to mobilize the IRGC facilities and forces to provide services to the people affected by a recent flash flood and emphasized expanding and strengthening the services to the flood-affected people.

Brigadier General Ahmad Shafaei, commander of the IRGC Salman Base in Sistan and Baluchistan visited the flooded areas in Dashtiari County on Friday to closely monitor the rescue and search efforts in the flood-hit areas.

In the meeting that was held in Plan District, he followed up on the measures taken and made the necessary instructions to intensify aid and the presence of rescue teams.

As long as it is necessary, the IRGC and Basij are present in the area and the relief will continue with strength, the Sistan and Baluchistan IRGC Salman Base commander said.

"We must do our best to minimize people's hardships and problems; We must try to solve the problems that have emerged so that the aid to the affected people will continue.
