Gov. fully supports flood victims in Sistan and Baluchestan

President Ebrahim Raeisi visited flood-hit areas in Sistan and Baluchestan Province to see for himself the relevant government bodies's assistance to flood victims and efforts to rebuild damaged infrastructure.

President Raieis arrived in Negur District by helicopter and visited the flood-hit areas. 

He talked to local officials and rescue teams and instructed the government-run bodies to intensify efforts in their humanitarian aid missions. 

"I came in person here to Sistan and Baluchistan to hold meetings to discuss the possibility of other floods in the future and to learn about the situation of the flood victims," the president told national TV on Tuesday afternoon in Negur District.

"The purpose of this trip is to check the situation in the region and to provide assistance to you, beloved people, and we will definitely be by your side with all our force," he added.

"I would like to appreciate the governor of Sistan and Baluchistan, the Red Crescent, local officials and people who are doing search and rescue work."

He further said that, "Today, we will decide on the measures to be taken to improve the situation of the flood victims."
