Iran to carry operation against enemy with maximum inflicted damage in due time

The chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has condemned the recent attack on Iran’s consulate office in Syria, announcing that an operation will be carried out to inflict maximum damage to the enemy in due time.

The type of the operation and the planning for it will be determined by the Islamic Republic, Major General Mohammad Bagheri said at the funeral procession of Mohammad Reza Zahedi who along with six other military advisors were killed in an Israeli attack in Damascus, IRNA reported from central Iranian province of Isfahan on Saturday.

The Israeli regime’s attack was an act of desperation, General Bagheri said, warning that the enemy will be disappointed by brave Iranian men.

“We will surely retaliate.”

He went on to stress that the Israeli regime intended to dominate the strategic region of West Asia, but instead it is collapsing as the Quds Force fighters and the people in different areas of the Islamic World, including Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Syria, and the great Iranian nation have made effort to not let it achieve its goal.  

Mohammadreza Zahedi, Mohammad-Hadi Haj-Rahimi, Hossein Amanollahi, Mehdi Jalalati, Mohsen Sedaqat, Ali Aqa-Babaei and Ali Salehi-Roozbahani were martyred in the Israeli regime’s attack on the building of Iran’s consulate in the Syrian capital on April 1.
