Italy’s new ambassador to Iran has presented a copy of her credentials to Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.

Paola Amadei met with the top Iranian diplomat on Saturday at the start of her diplomatic mission in the Islamic Republic.

She briefed Amirabdollahian on her plans to boost ties between the two countries.

The foreign minister, on his part, said that Iran has no limits to expand relations with Italy.

Also on Saturday, Amirabdollahian met with Chinese ambassador Chang Hua as he ended his diplomatic mission in the Islamic Republic.   

The Chinese diplomat thanked the Iranian Foreign Ministry for its support during his mission, and said that China is determined to further deepen relations with Iran.

Amirabdollahian also thanked Chang Hua for contributing to efforts to expand ties between Tehran and Beijing.
