President Assad: Intensifying attacks on Syria will not cover up Israel's failures

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has described the increasing attacks by the Israeli regime against Syria as a sign of madness and extreme disorder within the regime, saying that such attempts will not help the Israeli government to cover up their failures.

Amirabdollahian met and held talks with Bashar al-Assad in Syria's capital of Damascus on Monday.

While conveying his greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Ebrahim Raisi, al-Assad expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of the military advisers of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Referring to his phone conversations with President Raisi, the Syrian president emphasized, “Your martyrs are our martyrs, and we have a common position and feeling in this regard", noting that Iran and Syria are in a common battle.

The two sides also discussed some other bilateral, regional, and international issues.

For his part, Amirabdollahian thanked the Syrian side’s warm welcome to the Iranian delegation and also appreciated Syrian official’s solidarity with Iran after the recent insanity attack of the Zionist regime on the consulate in Syria.

Referring to the various political, legal, and international actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the level of the United Nations, the Security Council, and also at the level of governments immediately after the attacks against Iran’s consulate in Damascus, he said that his country sent the message to the US as a complete supporter of the Zionist regime and held it directly responsible for the crimes and insane actions of the Zionist regime, and emphasized that the occupying Zionist regime will definitely be punished.
