Amirabdollahian stated in his message: On the first day of the visit of the President of our country, Dr. Raisi, and in the framework of pursuing the neighborhood policy of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, "we visited the brother and Muslim country of Pakistan".

He added that a detailed and important discussion regarding international issues, regional developments and the improvement of bilateral relations was held with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Speakers of the National Assembly and Senate, as well as Pakistan's Foreign Minister.

He pointed out that various topics, including trade, energy, transit, science and technology, culture, health tourism and pilgrimage, cross-border cooperation, fight against drugs and terrorism, security, and justice were discussed between the high-ranking delegations of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said that  finally, while aiming to increase the volume of official trade to ten billion dollars, 8 joint cooperation documents were signed.

Amirabdollahian added that 1,000 kilometers of common border, many civilizational, cultural and religious commonalities, a common view on major regional and international issues, have made the determination of the two countries to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations more than ever
