“We are capable of overcoming all problems, but we must join hands, as unity is my first and last word,” Pezeshkian said in remarks during a Ramadan meeting with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Saturday evening.
The president warned against division in society, calling it a stumbling block on the path to progress. “If division arises and we have differences, we will not be able to achieve our goals.”
He stressed the need for communal harmony, openness, and tolerance.
“No power can bring down a nation that is united and moving behind one Leader,” Pezeshkian said.
“No matter what threats the enemies make, we are capable of dealing with them,” the president emphasized, adding that “the Iranian nation will be able to stand up to the enemies through unity.”
The heads of the three branches of government, along with senior civil and military officials, met with Ayatollah Khamenei at the Imam Khomeini religious center on Saturday.
