According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, The Tehran IELTS Institute released a statement saying: “IDP Education has made this difficult decision due to certain financial and regulatory circumstances beyond our control. Under this decision, IELTS tests will continue to be held in Iran until January 31, 2026, after which they will be temporarily suspended.”
The institute emphasized that all tests already booked will be conducted as scheduled, and no candidate with a valid registration will lose their test opportunity.
It was also confirmed that IELTS test results will remain fully valid and internationally recognized worldwide, with no change to their global acceptance or credibility.
In addition, access to all official free IELTS preparation resources will remain available to candidates.
The statement further noted that there is currently no plan to resume IELTS testing in Iran, though the situation will be reviewed should conditions improve in the future.
