According to Khabar Online, an Iranian News Agency, Araghchi, who is currently in the Azerbaijani capital, held talks with President Aliyev on Monday morning, December 08. This marks his first official bilateral visit to Baku since assuming the post of foreign minister.
Iran’s Ambassador to Baku Mojtaba Demirchi-Lou, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, Minister’s Aide and Director General for Eurasia Affairs Manouchehr Moradi, and Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriate Affairs Vahid Jalalzadeh also attended the meeting.

Araghchi arrived in Baku yesterday evening at the head of a diplomatic delegation for talks with senior Azerbaijani officials.
During the visit, he is also scheduled to meet with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and several other high-ranking officials to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
The foreign minister has previously accompanied President Masoud Pezeshkian during two of his visits to Azerbaijan.
