Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of strengthening ties among Muslim countries in the region, calling for deeper, more constructive interactions and the exchange of experiences across all areas of cooperation.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency Speaking on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, before departing for Kazakhstan, Pezeshkian outlined the objectives of his trip, which will include official visits to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The visit to Kazakhstan follows an official invitation from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Pezeshkian described the trips as opportunities to expand economic, cultural, and regional peace relations. “Prior to the visit, expert groups and relevant commissions held productive meetings, resulting in agreements on economic, industrial, tourism, cultural, mining, transportation, trade, and logistics issues,” he said.

Pezeshkian emphasized that his goal at the summit and during bilateral meetings is to engage sincerely with other world leaders to promote lasting peace and confidence globally.

Regarding Kazakhstan, the president noted that Iranian business delegations will accompany him, aiming to expand bilateral trade and economic exchanges beyond the current level of approximately $400 million.

He highlighted the potential for growth in both bilateral and regional frameworks, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, Eurasian Economic Union, and ECO, to further enhance cooperation
